A comedy series that I have always appreciated is the 30 Rock TV show. Airing of 30 Rock on NBC is a combined creative effort of Tina Fey and the production of Broadway Video and Little Stranger, Inc. the name 30 Rock for the series has been derived from the address of the GE Building where NBC Studios is located. Thirteen of the regular cast members that have been showcased through this series are Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander, Alec Baldwin, Katrina Bowden, Keith Powell, John Lutz, Kevin Brown, Grizz Chapman and Maulik Pancholy.
Not only has this fictional series received an appreciable critic acclaim but also Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2007, 2008, and 2009. However, the first season of the series had to face a low of 5.8 million viewers despite of the rave reviews it received. Other than the plot and comical aspect something the uniquely appreciated in this series was the music score that was composed out of the sounds of rich instruments like clarinet, bass clarinet, or saxophone by the co-producer Jeff Richmond. Richmond’s work was acclaimed further with its inclusion in Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music as a nomination.
Just like any other TV series it did take sometime for the viewers to accept this new series even after the critics gave it a pass. The second season that showcased the best stand-up comedian bore a fruit of high-end popularity for the series in its second season. As stated by Seinfeld, NBC and General Electric the modification in the second season was done as a part of Meta Humour.
30 Rock show exhibits yet another show within itself, “The Girlie Show”. This show inside the 30 Rock show is hosted by the Tracy Morgan who eminently plays the role of a movie humorist. The role of writer who writes for the show “The Girlie Show” has been played by Tina Fey.
The workaholic, head writer role of Liz Lemon has been played in a hunky-dory manner by series creator and executive producer Tina Fey. Liz who is working at Greenhorn network is forced to hire Tracy Jordan, who is a reckless movie humorist.
Liz lemon is then supposed to care just as an umpire of all the discomfort that takes place in between Tracy Jordan and Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski).
